The facelifted Mazda CX-3 is now on display in Mazda showrooms and in case you’ve missed its public appearance at 1 Utama Shopping Centre last week, here is a detailed gallery of the refreshed crossover from Mazda.
Priced (estimated) at RM121,134 on-the-road without insurance, GST and SST, the CX-3 facelift is cheaper by some RM5,000 compared to the outgoing model. Despite that, Bermaz Motor has managed to maintain all the key features of the car and even add additional safety features, only powered sunroof has been omitted from the spec sheet.

Powered by the same 2.0-litre four-cylinder SkyActiv-G petrol engine, the CX-3 facelift packs 154 hp and 204 Nm of torque driving the front wheels via a six-speed SkyActiv Drive automatic transmission. The SkyActiv powertrain works in tandem with the G-Vectoring Control (GVC) that helps reduce body roll and improve ride comfort by altering the powertrain and braking inputs when necessary.
New additions to the CX-3 facelift include a new front grille with 3D horizontal slats, 18-inch five-twin spoke alloy wheels, full LED taillamps inspired from the CX-5, centre armrest for both front and rear passengers (finally!), suede interior trim, electronic parking brake, red highlights on the aircon vents and funky floor mat design.
Improvements that runs skin deep include thicker door panels, rear-door glass, headliner and upgraded door seams for a quieter and more refined cabin.
Other items such as heads-up display, multifunctional steering wheel with paddle shifters, coloured heads-up display, powered driver seat with memory function, 7.0-inch MZD infotainment system, six-speakers, reverse camera and single-zone climate control have all been carried over from the pre-facelift model.
On the safety front, Bermaz Motor has added auto dimming rear view mirror, Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM) system and Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) to the list on top of the existing six-airbags, ABS with EBD, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), Traction Control System (TCS), Emergency Brake Assist (EBA) and Hill Launch Assist (HLA).
