Bermaz Motor is now accepting bookings for the facelifted Mazda CX-3. Although the refreshed crossover has yet to be officially launched, the company has released the full specifications and estimated price tag of the CX-3.

The CX-3 has never been competitive in terms of pricing but with the refreshed model, Bermaz is set to make a positive change by bringing the price (estimated) tag down to RM121,134 without insurance, GST and SST – some RM5,600 cheaper than before. Bermaz has managed this feat while maintaining all the key features of the car, with the powered sunroof being the only item omitted.

Visually, the refreshed CX-3 gets a revised front grille, additional chrome trims, new 18-inch alloys wrapped in 215/50 profile tyres and full LED taillamps. Inside, you will find a redesigned centre console that houses an electronic parking brake with auto hold function that frees up space for a centre armrest with soft padding.

The rear passengers also benefit from a centre armrest. Other not so obvious changes include thicker door panels, rear-door glass, headliner and upgraded door seams for a quieter and more refined cabin. Elsewhere, the CX-3 retains its leather upholstery, multifunctional steering wheel with paddle shifters, coloured heads-up display, powered driver seats with memory function, 7.0-inch MZD infotainment system, six-speakers and reverse camera.

Under the hood, the 2.0-litre four-cylinder SkyActiv-G petrol engine delivers 154 hp and 204 Nm but has been tuned to give more punch across the rev range. Drive is sent to the front wheels like before via a six-speed SkyActiv Drive automatic transmission.

Safety wise, the refreshed CX-3 was given a slight upgrade, now including auto dimming rear view mirror, Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM) system and Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA). Usual items like six-airbags, ABS with EBD, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), Traction Control System (TCS), Emergency Brake Assist (EBA) and Hill Launch Assist (HLA) are present on the CX-3.

The facelifted Mazda CX-3 will be on display at Bermaz’s roadshow at Oval Concourse, 1 Utama Shopping Centre happening from 27 June (Wednesday) to 1 July 2018 (Sunday). Customers who placed an order for any Mazda model at the roadshow are entitled to a sign-up gift as well as a chance to win Mazda Official merchandises by joining an exciting game of “Goal!” in conjunction with this World Cup season.
