While taking a casual stroll along the streets of Lisbon, Portugal, a man named Patrick Kramer came across a strikingly coloured SUV that was being shot for commercial. As it turned out, it happened to be the all-new Hyundai Kona, completely undisguised and in my opinion, it does look pretty good!

The new Kona gets Hyundai’s signature cascading grille design with muscular hunches up front. Illuminating elements seem really interesting and is unlike anything in the Hyundai stable right now. The wheel arches are clad with hard plastics, and it also appears to come with a two-tone paintwork, just like the Renault Captur.

Named after a coastal Hawaiian region, the Kona will be Hyundai’s smallest crossover that will be sold to the rest of the world. According to Hyundai, it has the best in class interior space and driving dynamics.

The Hyundai Kona will go against the mighty Honda HR-V and Toyota C-HR. Expect the Kona to make its world debut later this year.
