And she’s done it again! Malaysian girl drifter and race car driver Leona Chin had a proper good weekend in round 2 of the Clio Cup China Series in Korea International Circuit when she bagged two first-runner up finishes.

In fact, Leona improved compared to her first race weekend in Zhuhai where in Korea, she gave series leader, Kenneth Lim, a run for his money. Leona started both races behind pole seater Kenneth, and kept the momentum going to secure her second place finish. In the second race, Leona overtook Kenneth during the start and lead the race for five laps before conceding the lead. Nevertheless, the young Malaysian kept her composure to finish second again.LeonaPics-8720 (Custom)

“I pushed myself hard today knowing there’s a good chance of winning. Kenneth is always a tough competitor so I am happy to have improved from third (in Zhuhai leg) to second in Korea. For sure I will aim for the top spot again in the next race in Buriram, Thailand,” said Leona during the post-race interview.

Her solid performance means she now has enough points to be in the top three driver’s standings, right behind leader Kenneth. The Renault Clio with bright pink Team WebTVAsia decals will return on the weekend of 11-12 June for round three in Thailand. Surely, victory awaits for the young and bubbly Leona. Keep it up, girl!
