Remember that Perodua actually used to build the Perodua Rusa? It has been decades since the minivan was discontinued, and it looks like Perodua is reminiscing on the old days. For KLIMS 2026, they have showcased the Aruz Space. Unlike the normal family MPV on sale, this one features an interior that is specifically used to carry cargo.
The second national brand did not provide any information on the Aruz Space, so everything here is based on what we can see. At first glance, the Perodua Aruz Space looks quite similar to the standard MPV except for a newly added roof box, decals on the side and aerodynamic wheels.

Inside is where things get interesting because the Aruz Space swaps the seven-seat interior for a dedicated cargo compartment in the rear, separated by a felt-lined divider akin to that of the Lexus LM. Other specific add-ons include a sliding tray enabling cargo to slide out from the rear tailgate, alongside newly integrated storage compartments.
Perodua did not disclose the cargo capacity of the Aruz Space, but there are six large cubes loaded onto the sliding tray. Though, we guess the Aruz can carry more than 1,004 litres on the production car. There are also the roof-mounted air-conditioning vents found on the Aruz Space, which we guess could be used to carry temperature-sensitive cargo.
Up front, the driver and front passenger get treated to an interior that features a lot of brown accents for the trimmings and the upholstery of the seats, with the equipment seemingly carried forward from the production car, which features a seven-inch centre display, a multi-function steering wheel, and a semi-analogue gauge cluster.
We expect the powertrain department to remain unchanged, featuring a naturally-aspirated 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine producing 102 hp and 133 Nm, which is sent to the rear-wheels via a four-speed automatic.
The Perodua Aruz Space wasn’t the only highlight at KLIMS 2026; the second national brand also debuted the Perodua C2 and the QV-E G+ Sport Edition concept cars. Additionally, Perodua announced updated pricing for the fully-electric QV-E, now starting at RM69,999 under the Battery-as-a-Service (BAAS) programme. Customers who prefer to purchase the vehicle and battery outright can do so for RM93,999.
