Shifting duties are handled by a column-mounted gear selector, while a dedicated row of physical controls positioned beneath the central touchscreen allows for convenient climate adjustment.

The Maxus Terron 9 features a variety of drive options, comprising Highway, Off-road, and Terrain settings that adjust the drivetrain individually, alongside a custom mode for personalised configurations. Drivers can also select from three steering assist settings, which include Standard, Sport, and Comfortable.
On the other hand, the electric Maxus eTerron 9 distinguishes itself with an enclosed front grille featuring a bold brand wordmark and a full-width headlight design reminiscent of the Ford F-150 Lightning. In terms of utility, it offers payload capacities of 702 kg for the Luxury trim, 650 kg for the Luxury+ variant, and 620 kg for the Premium variant.
While the unit on display here at KLIMS 2026 features an enclosed truck bed, it remains to be seen whether this is standard equipment or an optional accessory. Towing capacity matches its combustion-powered sibling at 3,500 kg braked and 750 kg unbraked.

Equipped with a 102.2 kWh battery, the eTerron 9 has a range of 430 km (WLTC). Charging is supported with AC charging at 11 kW, taking 6.19 hours to charge from 20-80%. DC charging is supported at 115 kW, which enables a 20-80% recharge in 35 minutes.
