Dongfeng Cars Malaysia, through local distributor Central Auto Distributors Berhad (CADB), has previewed the Dongfeng 007, a fully electric four-door fastback. Shown alongside the Dongfeng Vigo, the model is set to arrive in Malaysia in Q1 2026, signalling the brand’s push to expand its local lineup and strengthen its presence in the market.
Already launched in Singapore, the Dongfeng 007 measures 4,880 mm in length, 1,895 mm in width, 1,465 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,915 mm, roughly comparable to other D-segment models including the BYD Seal, Kia EV6, and Hyundai Ioniq 6.
While many Malaysians may know Dongfeng for its cute, fun-looking Box EV hatchback, the 007 takes a far more serious approach to design. As a D-segment sportback, it wears a long, low and sleek profile, complemented by large dual-tone wheels and red brake callipers for a sporty touch. Up front, it features a split-headlight design, while a full-width taillight bar spans the rear.
Inside, it’s what you’d expect from a modern Chinese car. It’s kitted with a letterbox-style 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster and is paired with a 15.6-inch centre infotainment display — the latter of which supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay in export markets.

Complementing this is a two-spoke multi-function steering wheel, a 19-speaker Wanos sound system with speakers in the headrests, a 540-degree surround view camera, and a two-layer centre console with a wireless charging pad, USB charging ports, and storage spaces. Notable creature comforts include vegan leather upholstery, power-adjustable front seats with ventilation, and ambient lighting.
Dongfeng Cars Malaysia has confirmed that three variants of the Dongfeng 007 will be offered in all-wheel-drive (AWD) and rear-wheel-drive (RWD) options. In its press release, the company quoted output figures of 544 hp (400 kW) and 640 Nm of torque for the 007, the latter being 20 Nm more than the version offered in Singapore. This allows the car to complete the 0-100 km/h sprint in a blistering 3.9 seconds.

These output figures hint that the flagship Performance variant, equipped with intelligent all-wheel drive (i-AWD), will be coming to our shores. In Singapore, this model is paired with a 73.48 kWh battery pack, delivering an estimated range of up to 565 km. Charging is supported at up to 200 kW DC and 6.6 kW AC, while a vehicle-to-load (V2L) function is also available for powering external devices or home appliances on the go.
Prices for the Dongfeng 007 are estimated to start from RM130,000 when it officially launches in Malaysia. The company has also shared plans for local assembly (CKD), which could help lower its price once Malaysia’s EV tax exemption period ends.
Along with the preview of the Dongfeng 007 and Vigo, CADB has introduced a Year-End Sales (Y.E.S.) Campaign for the Dongfeng Box. For a limited time, buyers can enjoy giveaways of up to RM30,000 along with exclusive complimentary gifts, including a portable charging device and a front cabin storage module.
