Dongfeng Cars Malaysia, through Volt Auto (partners of local distributor Central Auto Distributors Berhad), has launched the 2026 Dongfeng Vigo. Debuting alongside the Dongfeng 007, the new electric vehicle (EV) SUV is available in only one variant and is priced from RM109,688 on the road and without insurance.
The Dongfeng Vigo measures 4,306 mm in length, 1,868 mm in width, and 1,654 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,715 mm, roughly similar in size to other C-segment EV SUV models like the Proton eMAS 7 (stylised as e.MAS 7), BYD Atto 3, and the MG S5 EV.
Up front, the Dongfeng Vigo adopts a more rugged design, highlighted by L-shaped daytime running lights (DRLs) reminiscent of some of Kia’s latest offerings. At the rear, it carries over the same L-shaped lighting signature, though the LED strips are split by a small gap in the centre. Notably, the Vigo features a two-piece tailgate, which Dongfeng claims is a first in its class. Standard exterior equipment for the Dongfeng Vigo are as follows:

The Dongfeng Vigo is offered in a choice of six exterior colour options: Arctic White, Titanium Silver, Sandstone Beige, Mosswood Green, Canyon Orange, and Cyber Black. These colours are complemented by a contrasting dual-tone Light Grey and Black interior colour.
Speaking of the interior, the dashboard features an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster paired with a 12.8-inch central infotainment display. The latter supports wireless Apple CarPlay but requires a wired connection for Android Auto. Standard interior equipment are as such:

The Dongfeng Vigo is powered by a single front-mounted electric motor producing 163 hp and 230 Nm, allowing for a 0-100 km/h sprint in 9.5 seconds. Power is supplied through a 51.87 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, delivering an estimated range of 471 km – though that is based on the much more lenient CLTC test cycle, so expect real-world range to be much lower than that.
The car supports up to 167 kW DC fast charging and 6.6 kW AC charging, with a 3.3 kW vehicle-to-load (V2L) function also available. For now, Dongfeng has yet to disclose detailed charging times, only claiming that the car can reach “80% charge in approximately 18 minutes” — though it’s unclear at what percentage it was calculated from.

As for safety, the Dongfeng Vigo comes equipped with a suite of level two advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) features. Along with six airbags as standard, standard safety features include:

To recap, the Dongfeng Vigo is priced at RM109,688 on the road and without insurance. Included in the price is a free ABB wall box charger, a six-year vehicle warranty with unlimited mileage, and an eight-year powertrain warranty with unlimited mileage as well.
To commemorate the launch of the Dongfeng Vigo, Dongfeng is offering an exclusive launch discount of RM8,888 — bringing its price down to RM100,800. For now, no end date has been announced for the launch campaign, with the discount offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
