2025 GWM Ora Good Cat Ultra updated in Malaysia – 480 km range, refreshed interior, RM110k

GWM Ora Good Cat Ultra in new So Blue colour

GWM Malaysia has updated the Ora Good Cat lineup for 2025, now consisting of only the Ultra and the GT — the latter making its Malaysian debut. The previous flagship now stands as the base model with the 400 Pro now discontinued, and starts from RM109,800 on the road and without insurance.

Retaining much of its familiar charms, the new GWM Ora Good Cat Ultra now wears “GWM” lettering at the rear instead of the “ORA” lettering in the previous model year. It is also now available in a new two-tone So Blue colour option, which sees new blacked-out rims and a black roof. The previous signature Hazel Wood Beige (with Brown Roof) and Pistachio Green colours remain available. Standard exterior equipment includes:

Inside, the new GWM Ora Good Cat carries over the dual-screen infotainment and instrument display setup from the previous model year, but now features a redesigned centre console that rids the old rotary knob for a simpler and cleaner look. Making its debut is also the new MY GWM App, allowing owners to control certain vehicle functions remotely as well as security features like geo-fencing and location tracking. The new Ora Good Cat is powered by a front-mounted motor producing 143 hp and 210 Nm of torque, enabling a 0-100 km/h sprint in 7.9 seconds. The standard battery is now upgraded to a new 57.7 kWh lithium-iron phosphate (LFP) pack, sourced from its subsidiary SVOLT, translating to a range of up to 480 km (NEDC).

The new Ora Good Cat supports up to 6.6 kW of AC charging that completes a full charge in nine hours, and 60 kW DC fast charging that juices the car up from 30-80% in 38 minutes. The Good Cat also supports Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) function for owners to power household appliances on the go.

Safety-wise, the facelifted GWM Ora Good Cat adds even more safety features along with the marque’s comprehensive suite of Level 2 advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). Standard safety features include:

  • Three-type integrated intelligent parking (IIP)
  • Auto-reversing assistance (ARA)
  • Adaptive cruise control with intelligent turning  (Intelligent ACC)and traffic jam assist (TJA)
  • Autonomous emergency braking with intersection support (AEBI)
  • Front collision warning with emergency braking at low speeds (FCW)
  • Lane departure warning (LDW)
  • Lane keeping assist (LKA) with lane centring assist and emergency lane centre keeping
  • “Wisdom dodge” system
  • Lane change assist (LCA) 
  • Rear collision warning (RCW)
  • Rear cross traffic alert and braking (RCTA and RTCB)
  • Second collision mitigation (SCM)
  • Hill start assist (HSA)
  • Door opening warning

The 2025 Ora Good Cat Ultra is now available in Malaysia, starting at RM109,800 on the road and without insurance. Each purchase includes a five-year/150,000 km vehicle warranty, a five-year/150,000 km free service, and an eight-year/180,000 km battery, electric control unit and motor warranty, the latter with a one-to-one battery replacement if its state of health (SoH) falls below 70%. Those who register their purchase before 31 December 2025 are also entitled to an additional RM3,000 discount on their purchase.
