Alongside the debut of the updated GWM Ora Good Cat, GWM Malaysia has also launched the new GWM Ora Good Cat GT, priced at RM119,800, on-the-road, without insurance.
As its name suggests, the Ora Good Cat GT is the spicier variant of the standard Ora Good Cat. It is distinguished by a more aggressive exterior styling, which features a two-tone yelow contrast accents on the front and rear bumpers, side mirrors, alloy wheels, and the new rear spoiler that includes a “GT” emblem on the endplates. Standard exterior equipment for the GWM Ora Good Cat GT includes:
- 18-inch alloy wheels painted in black with yellow trims
- Automatic LED headlights with follow-me home and auto high-beam
- LED daytime running lights (DRLs)
- LED full-width tail light with welcome light effect
- Rear fog lamp
- Active air intake front grille
- Power-adjustable and folding side mirrors with integrated turn indicators
- Automatic rain-sensing windshield wipers

The interior of the GWM Ora Good Cat GT mirrors the exterior with a sportier design. It features a black and yellow suede leather upholstery, in contrast to the standard Good Cat’s synthetic leather, which offers three colour options based on the exterior paint. The Ora Good Cat GT also supports smartphone connectivity via the new My GWM app, which enables remote control of the car’s seat ventilation, power windows, sunroof, and includes safety features like geo-fencing and location tracking of your Ora Good Cat GT. The GWM Ora Good Cat GT is equipped with a front-mounted electric motor making 171 hp (126 kW) and 250 Nm. GWM Malaysia did not disclose the 0-100 km/h time of the Ora Good Cat GT, but it should be faster than the standard Ora Good Cat with 143 hp and 210 Nm. Top speed for both variants is rated at 150 km/h.
Equipped with a 57.7 kWh lithium-iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack, the GWM Ora Good Cat GT has a range of 460 km (NEDC). Charging is supported with 6.6 kW AC charging, which takes approximately nine hours to fully charge the car. With DC charging at 60 kW, this enables a 0-80% top-up in 54 minutes or 30-80% in 38 minutes.
The GWM Ora Good Cat GT is equipped with six airbags, a 360-degree surround view camera with transparent view, and a suite of ADAS features, which include:
- Auto-reversing assistant
- Adaptive cruise control with Intelligent cornering and traffic jam assist (ACC, TJA)
- Autonomous emergency braking with intersection and pedestrian detection
- Traffic sign recognition (TSR)
- Front collision warning (FCW)
- Lane departure warning (LDW)
- Lane keep assist (LKA)
- Emergency lane keep assist (ELKA)

The GWM Ora Good Cat GT is priced at RM119,800 and is available in two exterior colours: Aqua Grey and Sun Black. Included in the price is a five-year or 150,000 km full vehicle warranty, eight-year or 180,000 km high voltage battery, electric motor and electric motor control unit warranty, five years of free service maintenance, and a one-to-one high voltage battery pack replacement if the battery state of charge (SOC) is below 70%.
