The facelifted Volvo XC60 introduces styling updates seen on its larger sibling, the Volvo XC90. These include the new diagonal mesh front grille, updated Thor’s hammer headlights, and new alloy rim designs. Two new exterior colours, Forest Lake and Denim Blue, join the XC60’s palette of Crystal White and Onyx Black, bringing the total to four exterior colours.
As standard, both new 2025 Volvo XC60 variants in Malaysia will be equipped with the following exterior equipment:
- 19-inch five-double spoke alloy wheels
- High-gloss black trimmings on side mirrors, window trims, roof rails, and front grille
- LED headlights and tailights with a smoked-out effect at the rear
- Panoramic sunroof
- Power tailgate
- Automatic rain-sensing windshield wipers
- Power retractable side mirrors
The changes are more noticeable in the interior of the new 2025 Volvo XC60, with the introduction of a new 11.2-inch portrait-oriented touchscreen infotainment display. It runs on Volvo’s next-generation Volvo Car UX, powered by the Snapdragon Cockpit Platform from Qualcomm. This makes the infotainment system much faster and more responsive, and improves graphics by up to 10 times, resulting in smoother visuals with reduced lag.
Both Volvo XC60 variants interior come standard in Charcoal quilted Nordico (faux leather), but can be configured to a two-tone Charcoal and Cardamom option at no additional cost. Other interior features of the new Volvo XC60 B5 Core includes:
- 12.3-inch digital driver’s display
- 11.2-inch portrait-orientated infotainment display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto

Powering the Volvo XC60 B5 Core is a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine, that is supported by a 48-volt battery and integrated starter generator. This allows for a total system output of 263 hp and 390 Nm, sent to all four wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission, accelerating the SUV from 0-100 km/h in 6.9 seconds.
The Volvo XC60 T8 Ultra, meanwhile, gets a more powerful 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine paired to a rear electric motor (e-Axle) for a combined output of 462 hp and 709 Nm, which translates to a 0-100 km/h sprint in 4.8 seconds. Top speed for both variants are limited to 180 km/h, as per Volvo standard.
Equipped with a 19 kWh battery pack, the XC60 T8 Ultra has a pure EV range of 89 km (WLTP), up from 81 km on the outgoing model. The T8 Ultra also benefits from a new active air suspension system, which not only makes the SUV more “dynamic and refined”, but also a higher ground clearance in off-road mode when driving on rougher terrain.
Both 2025 Volvo XC60 facelift variants will be equipped with a suite of ADAS features. These include:
- 360-degree surround view camera
- Pilot Assist with Adaptive cruise control (ACC)
- Blind spot monitors (BSM)
- Cross traffic alert

The new Volvo XC60 facelift is priced from RM328,888. Included in the price is a five-year unlimited-mileage vehicle warranty, with the PHEV variant gaining an additional eight-year or 160,000 km battery warranty.
