If you’re planning a road trip to the East Coast in your EV this festive season, this should be music to your ears. Shell Malaysia has announced the availability of its 180kW High-Performance Chargers (HPC) at three new locations along the East Coast Expressway (or Lebuhraya Pantai Timur). There is already a Shell HPC station in R&R Temerloh (Kuantan bound) with another opening soon in R&R Temerloh (KL bound)*.

The three new locations include:
- Shell LPT 2 R&R Paka KT Bound
- Shell LPT 2 R&R Paka KL Bound
- Shell LPT 2 Perasing R&R
Even better news, there are up to 100% rebates for those who charge their vehicles at any of the three new locations above. This promotion is from March 24 to April 4 2025 in conjunction with the Hari Raya festive period.
Using the ParkEasy app, Platinum members will receive a 100% credit rebate. If you own a Porsche EV, you are already a Platinum member by default. Gold members and pay-per-use EV owners will receive a 50% credit rebate. The rebate will be credited within seven days after the end of the campaign.

The three new charging stations including the soon-to-be-opened station in Temerloh (KL bound) will expand the HPC network to a total of 13 stations around Malaysia. They are situated mainly along the North-South Expressway and East Coast Expressway.
“With the launch of our latest Shell Recharge HPC stations in Pahang and Terengganu, we are bridging a critical gap in ultra-fast charging solutions along the East Coast corridor. We will continue to invest in a connected and accessible charging network, ensuring EV drivers nationwide have the confidence to go further,” said Shell Malaysia, GM of Mobility and Convenience, Seow Lee Ming.

“We are pleased to be extending the East Coast to West Coast HPC network with Shell Malaysia, further strengthening the EV ecosystem in Malaysia,” said Sime Darby Auto Performance, CEO, Christopher Hunter.
“With the latest Taycan and Macan models, charging from 10% to 80% state-of-charge (SoC) can be done in just 18 minutes and 21 minutes respectively,” he added.
