Honda Malaysia has announced a lofty plan to introduce three new models in 2025, after coming off a successful 2024 retaining its top position in the non-national passenger cars segment.
The brand has already kicked start the year with the launch of the 2025 Honda Civic facelift in January. To keep up the momentum, the fully electric (EV) Honda e:N1 will also be making its official debut this year, as part of a trio of EV models due to be unveiled by 2027.
So what’s the last one? Looking to our neighbours within the region, we think it’s most likely the 2025 Honda HR-V facelift. The updated model was unveiled in Thailand in November last year, featuring a slightly refreshed exterior, a redesigned dashboard, alongside a larger, updated central infotainment touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard.
As for the Honda e:N1, the crossover EV was last previewed in Malaysia during the 2024 Kuala Lumpur International Motor Show (KLIMS 2024). While it looks largely similar to the Honda HR-V on the outside, the e:N1 features a fully electric powertrain in place of the engine underneath the bonnet, offering up to 204 hp (150 kW) and 310 Nm. This is complemented by a 68.8 kWh battery pack, providing a WLTP-rated range of up to 412 km.
Honda’s EV line-up globally remains quite conservative, and the only other EV available globally (read: more than one market) being the Honda e… which has also stopped production last year. So what’s next after the e:N1? Well, maybe the Honda Zero series could give us some ideas…
