Denza Malaysia has officially launched the fully-electric (EV) Denza D9, following its preview last week. Two variants are available: Advance, Premium, with prices starting at RM259,000 on-the-road, without insurance.

Measuring 5,250 mm long, 1,960 mm wide, and 1,920 mm tall, with a 3,110 mm wheelbase, the Denza D9 is longer, wider, but shorter in height than the Toyota Alphard. The Denza D9 also has a longer wheelbase than the customary luxury MPV.
The exterior of the D9 is highlighted by the π (Pi) Motion front grille, distinctive Arrow Taillights, and 18-inch alloy wheels, which luxurious presence for the Denza D9. The two variants of the Denza D9 are visually identical to each other on the exterior, except for the Premium variant being equipped with Continental tyres, whereas the Advance variant is equipped with Michelin tyres.
Standard exterior equipment for the Denza D9 in Malaysia include:

Inside of the Denza D9, you’ll be greeted with luxurious captain chairs on the second row, which is 10-way power adjustable and comes with a six-way adjustable headrest. Both captain chairs are also equipped with 5.5-inch screens for vehicular and seat controls and are mounted on 1,080 mm electric slide rails. There’s also a refrigerator located in the centre console, which can operate in temperatures between -6 to 50 degrees Celsius.
Infotainment is provided by a 15.6-inch touchscreen display supporting wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The driver gets a 10.25-inch digital gauge cluster. Boot space is rated from 410 litres to 570 litres, depending on if the third-row seats are in the standard or folded position.

The Premium variant of the Denza D9 adds on the following interior equipment:
- Premium Nappa leather upholstery
- Suede ceiling
- Real wood veneer trims
- 12-inch head-up display (HUD)
Powering the Advance variant is a front-mounted electric motor delivering 313 hp (230 kW) and 360 Nm, boasting an NEDC range of 600 km. Going from 0-100 km/h takes 9.5 seconds in the Advance variant.
The Denza D9 Premium, meanwhile, gains an additional rear motor for a combined output of 374 hp (275 kW) and 470 Nm, with a slightly reduced range of 580 km (NEDC). This translates to a faster 0-100 km/h time of 6.9 seconds.
Both variants utilise a 103.36 kWh Blade lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack. DC fast charging at 166 kW enables a 30-80% charge in just 30 minutes, while 10 minutes of charging can add 150 km of range. AC charging is supported at 11 kW.
The Denza D9 in Malaysia will also come with the DiSus-C Intelligent Damping Body Control System adaptive dampers for the Premium variant. As for the Advance FWD variant, it will have to make do with the Frequency Selective variable damping suspension.
As standard, both variants of the Denza D9 has a comprehensive suite of advance driver assistant systems (ADAS), which includes:
- Front cross traffic alert (FCTA)
- Rear cross traffic alert (RCTA)
- Adaptive cruise control (ACC)
- Traffic sign recognition (TSR)
- Lane departure warning (LDW)
- Blind-spot monitoring (BSM)
- Lane change assist (LCA)
- Lane keeping assist (LKA)
The Advance variant of the Denza D9 is equipped with eight ultrasonic radars, three high precision millimeter wave radars while the Premium variant gets 12 ultrasonic radars and five high precision millimeter wave radars.
The Denza D9 is priced from RM259,000 here in Malaysia, on-the-road without insurance. Included in the price is a cross-border after-sales warranty service for DENZA users in Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand. This allows Denza users to access roadside assistance and after-sales service in these three countries. Three colours are available for the Denza D9 in Malaysia: Artic White, Whale Sea Blue and Cosmos Black.
Included in the price is a eight year or 160,000 km mileage warranty for battery (SOH within >70 or above) and up to eight years or 150,000 km on its drive motor and motor controller. The Denza D9 will also come with a vehicle warranty of up to six years or 150,000 km.
