The all-new ninth-generation Toyota Camry has made its debut in Thailand, following its launch in Singapore earlier this year. Three variants are available in the Kingdom, namely the Smart, Premium, and Premium Luxury, with prices starting at THB 1.475 million (approx. RM190k).
All three variants are powered by Toyota’s 2.5-litre Dynamic Force Hybrid THS II which uses a 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine making 188 hp and 221 Nm, paired to an electric motor for a total system output of 227 hp – all of which are sent to the front wheels only. The figure is slightly lower compared to the Singaporean-spec model, though we presume that is due to compatibility with Thailand’s E20 gasohol fuel.
Toyota has given the ninth-generation Camry a bold new face, featuring a prominent grille with sharp angles that create a sense of dynamism. This aggressive styling is echoed in the car’s LED daytime running lights and taillights, which both incorporate a C-shaped design that flows seamlessly into the bodywork.
The 2024 Toyota Camry has also grown slightly in length, now measuring 35 mm longer than its predecessor. This increase translates to a roomier cabin and a larger boot space of 500 litres. Despite the added length, the Camry maintains its sleek and stylish silhouette.

A wide range of features is available on the all-new ninth-gen Toyota Camry in Thailand. Exterior lighting includes automatic LED projector headlights with LED daytime running lights and LED taillights. As for creature comfort, you get a front acoustic windscreen to reduce noise, a panoramic roof with power-adjustable sunshades for added comfort, a 12.3-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and depending on variants, either a six-speaker audio setup or a premium 9-speaker JBL sound system.
The Thai-spec Camry mirrors the Singapore model with a comprehensive suite of driver assistance features. This includes adaptive cruise control, lane tracing assist, lane departure alert, and rear cross traffic alert.
