After the introduction of the Neta V in Malaysia last year, the brand’s official distributor in Malaysia, Intro Synergy, announced that it will be launching two more all-electric models, namely the Neta U SUV and the Neta S fastback sedan between 2024 and 2025. Now, the Chinese carmaker, via a video from Neta Auto Seremban’s Facebook page, has teased that it will be showcasing four of its models at the upcoming Malaysia Autoshow 2024, which will be held next week.
Essentially the facelift model of the Neta V all-electric crossover, which is sold in Malaysia, the Neta Aya first made its debut in China in August last year. It carries a redesigned exterior design, giving it a more appealing look than the Neta V.

The Neta Aya is offered in two variants in China, namely the 318 and 401, which are powered by two different single-motor front wheel drive electric motor setups. This results in the Neta Aya 318 outputting 54 hp and 110 Nm, while the 418 variant produces slightly more at 94 hp and 150 Nm. In terms of its all-electric range, the Neta Aya 318 and 401 variants both have CLTC-rated ranges of 318 km and 401 km respectively.
In Malaysia, the Neta V carries a starting price of RM100,000 (OTR, without insurance). It is powered by a front-mounted electric motor that produces 95 hp and 150 Nm. Thanks to a 38.5 kWh battery pack, the all-electric crossover is able to carry you as far as 380 km (NEDC) on a single charge.

The Neta GT, on the other hand, is the brand’s all-electric sports coupe. It is offered in both single-motor rear-wheel drive (RWD) and dual-motor all-wheel drive (AWD) powertrain options, with output figures of 231 hp and 462 hp respectively. It also has a CLTC-rated all-electric range of up to 580 km.
Positioned as the brand’s all-electric SUV, the Neta X, which rivals the likes of the BYD Atto 3 and Chery Omoda E5, sports a single-motor setup that outputs 163 hp. In terms of its all-electric range, the Neta X can carry you as far as 501 km (CLTC) on a single charge.

Set to make its launch in Malaysia sometime in Q1 2025, the Neta S is the carmaker’s fastback sedan and will compete against the likes of the Tesla Model 3 and BYD Seal. In China, the Neta S can be had with either an all-electric or a range extender electric vehicle (REEV) powertrain. The former is capable of travelling up to 715 km (CLTC) on a single charge, while the latter can do more at up to 1,160 km, thanks to a 1.5-litre engine and a 43 kWh battery pack.
Although not shown in the teaser, the brand’s compact all-electric crossover, the Neta U will also be making its launch in Malaysia as soon as the second half of this year (2024). Offered in a variety of powertrain options in its home country China, the Neta U delivers power outputs of up to 204 hp and 310 Nm, and a driving range of up to 500 km (NEDC).
