Geely, in partnership with Afari Technology and CaoCao Mobility, has unveiled the Eva Cab at the 2026 Beijing Auto Show. As China’s first purpose-built autonomous taxi, Eva Cab is built on a dedicated Level 4 AI digital architecture designed specifically for autonomous mobility services.
The exterior features a minimalist, pod-like silhouette with wide-opening electric sliding doors. By removing the steering wheel, Geely has maximised the interior for its four occupants, utilising a face-to-face cabin layout. While the interior is inaccessible during the debut, Geely stated the cabin of the Eva Cab features premium design elements, including a “Galaxy Skyroof” ceiling, “Drifting Galaxy” door panels, and “Orchid Pavilion and Meandering Streams” armrests.
Technical performance is driven by the EEA 4.0 “Quantum-Grade AI Electrical/Electronic Architecture”. This system utilises quantum encryption to establish end-to-end security for Bluetooth keys, remote vehicle control, and data privacy. The Eva Cab is also the first to feature SOVD (Service-Oriented Vehicle-Cloud Integrated Diagnostics) for proactive lifecycle protection and has earned Geely the industry’s first ISO 8800 AI Safety certification.
The vehicle’s “brain” integrates three flagship chipsets—the NVIDIA SuperChip, NVIDIA Thor U, and Qualcomm Snapdragon 8397—delivering over 3,000 TOPS of computing power. This hardware supports the World Action Model (WAM) and the AFARI G-ASD L4 software, which enables fully unmanned shuttle services on public roads. Environmental awareness is provided by a 2,160-line digital LiDAR system boasting a 600 metre detection range and an imaging capability of 25.92 million points per second.

While specific powertrain specifications remain undisclosed, presentation materials indicate the chassis supports battery swapping to reduce operational downtime. Following successful pilot operations in Hangzhou and Suzhou, Geely plans to launch a customised CaoCao Mobility edition of the Eva Cab in 2027 to accelerate the large-scale commercialisation of autonomous transport.
