The Road Transport Department (JPJ) has launched JPJvBid, a mobile application to manage public auctions of seized and forfeited vehicles, as reported by BusinessToday.
The application will be available for download from 10 March via the Apple App Store, Google Play Store and Huawei AppGallery. Users can log in using an existing MyJPJ ID or register a new account through the official JPJ portal.
This digital platform allows users to view vehicle details, consult a Vehicle Rating Report and purchase e-catalogues for RM50 per auction series. Similar to the JPJeBid system for number plates, each listing specifies starting prices and minimum bid increments.

Under this new system, physical inspections and in-person auction sessions are no longer permitted, requiring bidders to rely solely on the digital images and bidding history hosted within the app.
E-catalogues will be available for purchase starting 18 March, with the inaugural online auction scheduled for 1 to 5 April 2026. JPJ Selangor will lead the rollout with a pilot auction involving 30 motorcycles, cars and scrap vehicles before the system expands nationwide.
JPJ Director-General Datuk Aedy Fadly Ramli noted that the transition is designed to improve the speed, clarity and accountability of the vehicle disposal process.
