Denza D9 prices in Malaysia up by 15% for 2026 units, now from est. RM299k with tax

Denza Malaysia has announced a price revision for the Denza D9 luxury electric vehicle (EV) MPV, following the end of tax and duty exemptions for fully imported (CBU) EVs. The new prices are applicable to newly imported 2026 units, and see an increase of approximately 15% compared to the previous tax-exempted prices.

The updated prices are:

  • 2026 Denza D9 Advanced front-wheel drive – RM299,000 (up from RM259,000)
  • 2026 Denza D9 Premium all-wheel drive – RM355,000 (up from RM309,000)

Denza Malaysia states that these prices are still “estimated” for now, and buyers will now also have to pay for the new output-based annual road tax, which was previously exempted as part of the government’s incentives to drive EV adoption.

Those who aren’t keen on spending the extra money can still opt for 2025 year-make units at their original tax-free prices. The company did not disclose how many units remain, although the press release states that they are in their “final phase of availability with limited units remaining”, so anyone looking to save roughly RM40,000 (plus other ownership benefits worth up to RM15,000) should check them out while stocks last.

Aside from the pricing revision, no other equipment or mechanical updates have been announced for the 2026 model year Denza D9.

The Denza D9 Advanced FWD is powered by a single front-mounted electric motor producing 313 hp and 360 Nm, enabling a 0-100 km/h time of about 9.5 seconds. Power comes from a 103.36 kWh Blade lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, delivering up to 520 km of WLTP-rated range.

Meanwhile, the Denza D9 Premium AWD gains a second motor for all-wheel drive, boosting combined output to 374 hp and 470 Nm, and cutting the 0-100 km/h sprint to approximately 6.9 seconds. Fitted with the same 103.36 kWh battery, its range drops slightly to 480 km (WLTP) due to its more power-hungry dual-motor setup.

Both variants support up to 11 kW AC charging and 166 kW DC fast charging, allowing a 30-80% charge in 30 minutes, or up to 150 km of range added in just 10 minutes on a DC fast charger.
