Celebrating its 10th anniversary, Leapmotor has unveiled its first ever MPV, the D99. This new model will be officially launched in April 2026, and is positioned as the company’s flagship model alongside its SUV counterpart, the Leapmotor D19.
As an MPV, the Leapmotor D99 measures 5,200 mm in length and 2,000 mm in width, with a 3,100 mm wheelbase. It’s similar in size to the Zeekr 009, although the Leapmotor D99 has a slightly shorter wheelbase.
Only the exterior has been revealed for now, and Leapmotor is staying mum on the interior for the time being, although it’ll likely take after the futuristic interior of the D19 SUV.
For the outside, the D99 features chequered-flag daytime running lights with the main headlights integrated into the front bumper, much like the recently launched Leapmotor B10 in Malaysia. At the rear, it features a full-width taillight setup, and 19-inch monoblock alloy wheels further enhance the Leapmotor D99’s luxurious appearance.
As reported by CnEVPost, the Leapmotor D99 will be offered as both a battery electric vehicle (BEV) and an extended-range electric vehicle (EREV). While detailed specifications are not available, Leapmotor has confirmed that the BEV setup will be based on a 1,000V architecture and features a 115 kWh battery pack.

The EREV variant, meanwhile, will get a smaller 80.3 kWh battery pack. Leapmotor claims that this makes the D99 the longest-range EREV MPV… in the world.
Other specifications revealed by the company include a safety suite powered by a pair of processors sourced from Qualcomm. These provide a total computing power of 1,280 trillion operations per second (TOPS) and work alongside a dual-wheel puncture stability system.
The maiden model of the Leapmotor D-series, the D19, was unveiled back in October 2025. Positioned as the company’s largest SUV to date, it features an interior available in six- or seven-seat configurations.
Like its MPV sibling, the Leapmotor D19 is also available with BEV or EREV powertrains. The BEV variant uses a 115 kWh battery pack that enables a range of 750 km. The EREV version is equipped with an 80.3 kWh battery that provides up to 500 km of pure EV range.
