Leapmotor has unveiled its latest model at the 2025 Guangzhou Auto Show, called the Leapmotor A10 — a new budget-oriented compact electric crossover aimed to compete with the BYD Atto 2. As the name suggests, the A10 will slot below the B10 C-segment and C10 D-segment SUVs.
For now, details for the new Leapmotor A10 remain scarce. But, CarNewsChina expects the car to come in similarly to the BYD Atto 2 in size, which measures 4,310 mm long, 1,830 mm wide and 1,675 mm tall with a 2,620 mm wheelbase.
Just like the Atto 2, the Leapmotor A10 adopts a cute and boxy profile. However, unlike the larger B10 and C10, it gets a more pronounced headlight design, which in stark contrast to most recent models from China, don’t come with a full-width light bar across the front fascia. The rear follows the same theme, with individual tail lights that interestingly incorporate a smiley-face design.
The A10 rides on dual-tone multi-spoke 18-inch wheels, with black plastic fender cladding for a more rugged, agile stance. The side pillars are blacked out to create a floating roof effect, and also includes a panoramic sunroof. According to the report, the A10 comes in six colour options: brown, green, blue, grey, silver, and beige.
Look up, and you’ll see what appears to be a LiDAR sensor on the roof, pointing towards a very comprehensive advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) – though it would likely be excluded for a more rudimentary ADAS system if it arrives in Malaysia.

Leapmotor has yet to reveal the interior of the A10, but based on the brand’s recent models, it’s safe to expect a layout similar to its larger siblings. This likely includes a large floating central infotainment display, a letterbox-style digital instrument cluster, and possibly Oeko-Tex upholstery on higher-end variants.
It should also be built on the same ‘Leap 3.5’ rear-wheel drive platform as the B10. Leapmotor says the A10 will be able to drive for over 600 km in a single charge, though that figure is based on the more generous Chinese test cycle.
CarNewsChina estimates that the Leapmotor A10 will be priced between CNY80,000 and CNY100,000 (approximately RM47k to RM58k) in China, positioning it squarely against rivals in the same segment. More information – including its interior – will be revealed at the Beijing motor show next year in April, while its European debut will come at Paris in October.
