2026 Honda Jazz facelift leaked in China, looks suspiciously like a Vinfast

We might not see the latest Honda Jazz on our roads any more, but the iconic hatchback is still popular in other parts of the world. Unveiled globally at the end of 2019, the fourth-generation Honda Jazz (or Fit in some markets) is now due for a refresh – and wouldn’t you know it, fresh spyshots for the 2026 Honda Jazz facelift have now surfaced online, with a significant design update that… looks awfully similar to a Vinfast VF e34?

The photos, courtesy of a document filing with China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, show a significantly redesigned front fascia, now sporting a split headlight design with the quad-LED daytime-running lights incorporated into the grille opening, creating a clean split between the bonnet and front bumper.

The main headlight beams are located separately, just centimetres below the daytime-running light in a trapezoidal housing, making the front end look suspiciously similar to the Vinfast VF e34 – or Nerio Green as it is marketed elsewhere.

A larger grille is integrated into the black plastic element below, which envelops the entire lower portion of the bumper, although curiously there are also four small cutouts on the body-coloured segment, possibly for a more direct air ingestion route for the engine intake.

Round the back, the bumpers now get a significant chin protrusion at the bottom, with the diffuser-looking angular slats sticking out even more – not our favourite look, if we’re being honest. The tail lights seem to be the same as before, though now adopting a much darker smoked lens for an even more ricer aesthetic.

While no interior photos are available yet, Autohome reports that the cabin will receive a reworked dashboard design, centered around a larger 10.1-inch touchscreen, which will come with Apple CarPlay, as well as China-special connectivity systems, Huawei HiCar and Baidu CarLife.

No changes are expected under the bonnet, however, with the 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated inline-four mill still soldiering on in the Chinese-market 2026 Honda Jazz, pushing 124 hp and 145 Nm to the front wheels via a CVT gearbox.

We’ve always liked the looks of the fourth-generation Honda Jazz, because while it might skew a little cutesy, it’s at least a unique design, in a silhouette that promises incredible space flexibility on the inside. But with this new “facelift” update, we’re starting to feel a little more grateful that we’ve got the City Hatchback here instead…
