AUDI, spelt with all caps, has previewed its second model for China at the ongoing Guangzhou Autoshow 2025 with the AUDI E SUV Concept. This new model is slated for launch in 2026, following the debut of the AUDI E5 Sportback back in September 2025.
Despite sharing the same name as the German carmaker, though, this model is not actually from Ingolstadt. The ringless AUDI is instead a China-exclusive sub-brand of the German luxury carmaker, established in partnership with SAIC Motor to expand the company’s presence in China, specifically focusing on battery electric vehicle (BEV) offerings.
The AUDI E SUV Concept, then, is billed as “near-production” model for its upcoming fully electric SUV model, built on the same “Advanced Digitized Platform” architecture that also underpins the E5 Sportback.
Measuring 5,057 mm long, 2,042 mm wide, and 1,786 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 3,060 mm, the AUDI E SUV Concept is a physically larger vehicle than both the E5 Sportback and the Audi Q8.

As the second model under the AUDI sub-brand, the E SUV Concept shares a similar design language with the E5 Sportback. It features wraparound lighting graphics at the front with matrix LED headlights and an illuminated AUDI emblem on the rear facade.
The company did not reveal the interior of the AUDI E SUV Concept, but we expect it won’t be far off from its smaller sibling. The E5 Sportback is equipped with a pillar-to-pillar 27-inch 4K display with segments for the digital side cameras, a feature likely to carry over here.
What the company did reveal is the powertrain. The E SUV Concept is equipped with electric motors on both the front and rear axles, delivering a total output of 680 hp (500 kW). This setup allows it to sprint from 0-100 km/h in 5.0 seconds flat.
Equipped with a 109 kWh battery pack, the AUDI E SUV Concept boasts a range of over 700 km according to the more optimistic CLTC test cycle. Thanks to its 800V architecture, AUDI states the vehicle can regain 320 km of range in just 10 minutes, although specific DC charging specifications were not disclosed.
According to AUDI, the E SUV Concept is equipped with the LiDAR-based AUDI 360 Assisted Driving system, a suite specifically tailored for China’s unique road conditions. Key features include enhanced recognition of vulnerable road users, such as tricycles and delivery riders, as well as active obstacle bypass and traffic light identification.
As featured on the E5 Sportback, which utilises the same AUDI 360 Assisted Driving architecture, the system is optimised for nighttime driving and complex urban scenarios.
The system also introduces advanced convenience features, such as ‘cross-floor’ memory parking, which allows the car to navigate multi-story structures and manoeuvre itself into pre-memorised spaces in locations like shopping centres or parking lots.
At the show, Audi has also unveiled the new Audi A6L e-tron alongside the AUDI E SUV Concept. This marks the first pure EV model for the A6L lineup in China, utilising the “L” moniker to denote the extended wheelbase variant exclusive to the region.
The Audi A6L e-tron features a wheelbase extended by 132 mm, providing significantly more legroom for rear passengers. It is equipped with a 107 kWh battery pack, which is larger than the global model’s 100 kWh unit, enabling a range of up to 770 km (CLTC). Built on an 800V architecture, the platform supports ultra-fast charging, allowing for short stops to replenish range.
