All-new 2025 Proton Saga still as hot as ever — 10k bookings in just 5 days!

The Proton Saga has long been a staple of Malaysian roads, so it’s no surprise that the all-new generation model is also going to be a big hit. How big? Proton has announced that it managed to rack up 10,000 bookings of the all-new 2025 Proton Saga in just five days following the tentative price announcement.

To put that into perspective, that’s one booking every 43 seconds — or about 83 an hour, adding up to roughly 2,000 a day. With 10,000 bookings now secured, only 10,000 Early Bird Booking slots – offering one year of free service (20,000 km, inclusive of parts and labour) and a special-edition Proton Saga Touch ’n Go card – remain. These offers apply to bookings made before launch day, with full vehicle registration completed by 31 December 2025.

Proton Chief Executive Officer, Dato’ Ir. Abdul Rashid Musa, said, “The All-New Saga is more than just a car; it’s a symbol of national progress, reimagined for a new generation. To receive 10,000 bookings in only five days is both humbling and inspiring, and we thank Malaysians for their trust and support.”

“To ensure that customers can experience the All-New Saga as soon as possible, our production team in Tanjong Malim has been working diligently to ramp up supply, with vehicle deliveries set to begin immediately after the official launch,” he added.

One of the biggest reasons behind the popularity of the all-new 2025 Proton Saga is its upgraded powertrain, now featuring an all-new 1.5-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine with 120 hp and 150 Nm. Power goes to the front wheels through a more efficient CVT, while lower variants retain a more traditional four-speed automatic.

The car also features a completely new exterior design, now equipped with LED headlights and taillights. While it maintains the familiar silhouette of its predecessor, anyone would instantly recognise it as a Proton Saga — just sharper and more modern.

Moving inside, the changes become far more apparent — featuring a dual-digital display layout with support for wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The cabin also gains a new multi-function steering wheel, dual-tone faux leather upholstery, and 3D-patterned trim for a livelier, more contemporary feel.

Prices for the all-new 2025 Proton Saga are estimated to fall between RM40,000 and RM50,000, with deliveries set to begin immediately after launch.
