2025 Lotus Emeya updated in Malaysia – now 5 variants, up to RM96k cheaper!

Lotus Cars Malaysia has launched the updated, fully-electric Lotus Emeya in Malaysia, which now consists of five variants, starting with the Lotus Emeya 600 from RM459,000. Compared to the initial three variants introduced last year, the entry price to own an Emeya is now RM96,000 cheaper, while the top-range variant has seen its price reduced by up to RM48,000.

  • Lotus Emeya 600 – RM459,000
  • Lotus Emeya 600 GT SE – RM519,000
  • Lotus Emeya 600 Sport SE – RM599,000
  • Lotus Emeya 900 Sport – RM699,000
  • Lotus Emeya 900 Sport Carbon – RM729,000

As you can see, the update introduces a new naming scheme for the Lotus Emeya variants. According to Lotus, the new model names, Emeya 600 and Emeya 900, directly reflect the outputs of their respective powertrains. This follows the naming strategy already used for the Lotus Eletre and Emira, which itself is a reference to Hethel’s historical practice of using numbers in its variant names.

The Emeya 600 series features a dual-motor powertrain producing 612 hp (450 kW) and 710 Nm, enabling a 0-100 km/h sprint in 4.15 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 250 km/h.

On the Lotus Emeya 900 meanwhile, its dual-motor powertrain is beefed up to produce 918 hp (675 kW) and 985 Nm of torque. This shortens the 0-100 km/h sprint to just 2.78 seconds and allows the car to reach a slightly higher top speed of 256 km/h.

All variants are equipped with a 102 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. The Emeya 600 offers the longest range at 610 km (WLTP), while all the 900 variants have a range of 580 km (WLTP). All models support 22 kW AC charging and up to 350 kW DC fast charging, the latter enabling a 10-80% recharge in just 18 minutes.

For exterior styling, the Emeya 600 comes standard with 20-inch five-spoke alloy wheels. Stepping up to the 600 GT SE upgrades these to 21-inch wheels and adds six-piston brakes, an intelligent glass roof, and a hands-free tailgate.

For a more aggressive look, the 600 Sport SE adds active aerodynamic elements, including a rear spoiler, rear diffuser, front air dam, and gains soft-close doors. The 900 Sport is equipped with an active rear spoiler, while the top-range 900 Sport Carbon gets an extended exterior carbon pack and all the active aero components of the 600 Sport SE.

Inside, the Lotus Emeya comes generously equipped as standard. The cabin features a 15.1-inch central OLED display, a 12.6-inch display for both the driver and front passenger, and a large 51-inch head-up display for the driver.

Other standard amenities include a KEF 15-speaker sound system, four-zone automatic climate control, 12-way powered and heated front seats, and a Jasper interior theme upholstered in LotusWear Performance fabric.

The Lotus Emeya is now priced from RM459,000 for the Lotus Emeya 600, and goes up to RM729,000 for the top-range Emeya 900 Sport Carbon variant, with the first deliveries for the Lotus Emeya scheduled to start in September 2025.
