Registrations of interest (ROI) for the all-new, fully-electric Mercedes-Benz CLA is now open for customers in Malaysia, as seen on a new page on Mercedes-Benz Malaysia’s website.
Making its global debut in March 2025, the Mercedes-Benz CLA is available solely with a fully electric powertrain for now, in two variants worldwide – both a mouthful to say: Mercedes-Benz CLA250+ with EQ Technology and Mercedes-Benz CLA350 4Matic with EQ Technology.
On the CLA250+, it features a rear-mounted electric motor that produces 272 hp (200kW) and 355 Nm, which enables 0-100 km/h in 6.7 seconds and a top speed of 210 km/h.
Stepping up to the CLA350 4Matic gains a front-mounted electric motor, for an all-wheel drive setup that boosts the total output to 354 hp (260 kW) and 515 Nm. As a result, the century sprint is shortened to 4.9 seconds before reaching the same 210 km/h top speed as the CLA250+.
Both variants are equipped with the same 85 kWh nickel-manganese-cobalt (NMC) battery pack, enabling a range of 792 km (WLTP) on the CLA250+, and 771 km (WLTP) on the CLA350 4Matic.

Built on an 800V architecture, a first for Mercedes-Benz, the all-new CLA can support blistering fast charging speeds of up to 320 kW DC, enabling the car to regain over 300 km of range within a 10-minute charging session. AC charging is supported at 11 kW for both variants.
All of these are packaged in an exterior that is larger than the outgoing CLA, yet still manages an impressive drag coefficient of just 0.21 Cd. The all-new CLA’s sleek body features exterior elements adorned with the Mercedes-Benz three-pointed star, starting with the front grille, which boasts 142 illuminated stars, and the headlights as well.
Stepping inside, you will be greeted by a screen-centric interior featuring the MBUX Superscreen, which segments several displays behind a single vertical glass panel. These consist of a 10.25-inch digital cluster, a 14-inch central display, and an optional 14-inch display for the front passenger.
It is not yet known which variants of the CLA Mercedes-Benz Malaysia is planning to launch. With the tax incentives for fully-imported EVs ending in 2025, could we see the new CLA priced below the current Mercedes-Benz C200, which starts at RM296,888?
