Video: More power and range! 2025 BMW iX facelift in Malaysia from RM461k

BMW Malaysia has introduced the newly facelifted BMW iX for 2025. It comes in the form of two variants, namely, the BMW iX xDrive45 Sport and the BMW iX xDrive60 M Sport Pro. Prices start from RM460,700 on-the-road, without insurance, and inclusive of the BMW Service and Repair Inclusive (BSRI) package.

On the outside, both iX variants now feature updated headlight designs and a new grille with BMW’s Iconic Glow light surrounds. Exclusive to the xDrive60 M Sport Pro are a new centre-split front lip and smoked tail lights, both of which courtesy of the M Sport Pro package that includes a more aggressive exterior styling kit. The base variant rides on 21-inch wheels, while the xDrive60 upgrades to larger 22-inch wheels.

Inside, both variants come with the BMW Curved Display that combines a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.9-inch infotainment screenunder a single pane of glass, running on BMW Operating System 8.5. Standard equipment includes an 18-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, a wireless charging pad, and multi-function front seats.

Inside, the iX xDrive45 Sport features the Atelier design package and a two-spoke hexagonal steering wheel. Meanwhile, the iX xDrive60 M Sport Pro comes with either the more luxurious Suite or M Sport interior, paired with an M leather steering wheel.

The facelift update has also brought along updated powertrains. The BMW iX xDrive45 Sport’s dual-motor setup now delivers 408 hp and 700 Nm of torque — an 82 hp increase over the previous xDrive40 — enabling a 0-100 km/h sprint in just 5.1 seconds.

Power comes from a new 100 kWh battery, offering between 490 km and 602 km of WLTP range — an increase of up to 177 km. The iX now supports 22 kW AC and 175 kW DC fast charging, with the latter capable of adding 166 km of range in just 10 minutes.

The iX xDrive60 M Sport Pro, on the other hand, features the same setup but with 544 hp and 765 Nm of torque — a 21 hp increase over the outgoing xDrive50 — which launches the car from 0-100 km/h in just 4.6 seconds. Although fitted with that much power, both variants share a top speed of 200 km/h

This dearer variant comes with a larger 111 kWh battery, offering a WLTP range of up to 701 km. It supports 22 kW AC charging and 195 kW DC charging that can charge the car from 10% to 80% in just 31 minutes, while a 10-minute DC fast charge can add up to 217 km of range.

The 2025 facelifted BMW iX is available in Malaysia in two variants: the iX xDrive45 Sport and the iX xDrive60 M Sport Pro, priced at RM460,700 and RM522,700 respectively. Both prices are on-the-road, without insurance, and inclusive of the BSRI package. Without the package, prices for the BMW iX drop to RM425,800 and RM487,800 respectively.
