Exterior wise, the most noticeable cosmetic upgrade are at the front. The front bumper is now longer and pointier than before. Squint your eyes and it looks almost identical to its beefier brother – the Honda Civic Type R.

The 2025 Honda Civic facelift also introduces a new 18-inch wheel design, but is exclusive to the RS e:HEV models. Also exclusive to the RS e:HEV hybrid is a new Canyon River Blue Colour. The standard RS models also get:

  • Auto retractable side mirrors finished in black
  • Black outer door handles
  • Trunk spoiler
  • Black shark fin antenna
  • Tailpipe finish in chrome
  • 18-inch alloy wheels

Moving inside, the most noticeable difference will be the new nine-inch infotainment display that comes standard in all variants. There are Google features now such as Google Play, Google Maps, and Google Assistant. Additionally, you also get new USB type C ports in place of the USB type A ports in previous model years.

The new Honda Civic now comes with a new Individual mode exclusively for the e:HEV hybrid model. The Individual mode allows drivers to customise their vehicle settings like engine response, steering feel, engine sound, and gauge cluster – again similar to the Type R.

The facelift also brings a more sophisticated Honda Sensing system that can now detect motorcycles and bicycles. Along with these new safety features are Low Speed Follow (LSF), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), and Forward Collision Warning (FCW), just to name a few.

The 2025 Honda Civic RS facelift is powered by the same 1.5-litre turbo four-cylinder engine that produces 182 hp and 240 Nm. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.5 seconds with a top speed of 200km/h.

As for the RS e:HEV hybrid, the Civic gets a bigger 2.0-litre engine, paired to an electric motor that is used mainly to drive the car. The internal combustion engine is there mainly as a generator. The electric motor makes 184 hp and 315 Nm, while the 2.0-litre naturally-aspirated engine makes 143 hp and 184 Nm.
