Sime Motors today unveiled EV Next, the first dedicated used electric vehicles (EV) dealership in Malaysia, billed as a “one-stop centre” for used EVs with retail, used EV trade-in, and even EV servicing and aftersales, all under one roof.
EV Next is currently available in three locations nationwide, namely Glenmarie, Chan Sow Lin, and TREC KL, with an expansion planned for more locations in Penang, Tebrau, and Johor Bahru in the near future.
Speaking at the launch event, Sime Motors Managing Director, Andrew Basham said, “The demand for electric vehicles has been on a steady growth in Malaysia, reflecting the popularity of sustainable mobility. We are proud to introduce the first used EV dealership in Malaysia, designed to cater to diverse lifestyles.”

EV Next offers a wide selection of EV brands in its portfolio, including BYD, BMW, MINI, Hyundai, Jaguar, Porsche, and Volvo. All vehicles on sale have passed rigorous and detailed checks to ensure quality, and even their battery health and remaining capacity are disclosed to customers in the listing. As always, the vehicles on sale must also have a clean history, with no major accidents records nor subjected to flood or fire damage.
Aftersales support for EV Next customers is provided by Drivecare, the independent multi-brand aftersales network under Sime Motors. Each outlet is equipped with up-to-date tools and technologies, and staffed by Sime Motors’ “highly certified and skilled technicians” to ensure that each EV is properly cared for.
