Sime Motors has opened the doors to AutoArena today, the first-ever automotive event to take place inside the Bukit Jalil National Stadium. The multi-brand showcase will run from January 10-12, 2025, and is open to the public daily from 9am to 7pm.
Visitors will be able to check out vehicles from Sime Motors’ portfolio of automotive brands, including BMW, MINI, BMW Motorrad, BYD, Ford, Hyundai, Jaguar, Land Rover, and Volvo. In addition, a variety of pre-owned vehicles from Auto Selection and BMW Premium Selection will also be on display at the show floor – located right beside the iconic football pitch!

Test drives are available on location. A wide range of exciting deals will also be offered exclusively at the Sime Motors AutoArena event, ranging from lucky draws, free gifts, to trade in offers and cash rebates.
Not time for a new car yet? There’s also a dizzying array of merchandises from the various brands available for purchase. If anything, it’s a unique chance to check out the National Stadium, all without paying a dime.
The Sime Motors AutoArena event is a result of a strategic partnership between Sime Motors and Perbadanan Stadium Malaysia (Malaysia Stadium Statutory Body), aimed at “enhancing the accessibility and adoption of electric vehicles (EV), in support for the transition towards more environmentally-conscious transportation.”
Apart from collaborating on more events such as AutoArena, Sime Motors will also be loaning two EVs for a period of 24 months to the government body, serving as official vehicles. The company will also be installing charging stations at the stadium, which – when completed – will also be open for use by the surrounding community.

Speaking at the opening ceremony today, Sime Motors, Managing Director of Southeast Asia, Jeffrey Gan said, “By collaborating with Perbadanan Stadium Malaysia, we are not only supporting their operational needs with sustainable vehicles but also providing accessibility to our broader community with EV charging infrastructure. This initiative aligns with the government’s aim of increasing EV adoption by 2030 and helps foster greater awareness and understanding of the benefits of EV ownership for Malaysians.”
“As a leading automotive player, we offer a wide range of EVs across our marques. Leveraging our extensive track record in the automotive industry, coupled with our strong network and robust customer sales care across our brands, AutoArena is a great example of many more unique events and experiences that we look forward to hosting at the iconic Bukit Jalil National Stadium,” he added.
Perbadanan Stadium Malaysia CEO, Iliyas Jamil added, “Bukit Jalil National Stadium is a symbol of national pride, and we are honoured to collaborate with Sime Motors to champion sustainability and green mobility. As a key destination for international and local events, we welcome more than one million visitors annually. Our appeal and accessibility serve as the ideal venue to demonstrate the accessibility and convenience of EVs, empowering more Malaysians to embrace sustainable lifestyles.”
