The recently launched Proton eMAS 7 (stylised as e.MAS 7) is set to expand its reach beyond Malaysia, with Singapore being the first export market. Vincar, the official distributor, will introduce the eMAS 7 to the island nation in early 2025.
According to a post on the distributor’s social media channels, there are also plans to establish a dedicated Proton eMAS showroom in Singapore at the Leng Kee Automotive Belt to facilitate after-sales service.
Beyond Singapore, the Proton eMAS 7 is also slated for launch in several other countries, including Trinidad and Tobago, Mauritius, and Nepal, as revealed during the model’s local launch on Monday. However, the exact launch timelines for these markets remain unconfirmed.
Our first national EV should also be exported to Brunei in the near future, if the model’s ASEAN NCAP safety rating report is anything to go by. It should be noted, however, that the model will not be making its way to Thailand, as its twin brother, the Geely EX5 (or Galaxy E5 in China) has already made its official debut there last month.
