The Proton eMAS 7 measures 4,615 mm long, 1,901 mm wide, 1,670 mm tall with a 2,750 mm wheelbase. This makes it significantly larger than most of its competitors in the same price class, such as the BYD Atto 3.
Following the trend of minimalist design, the eMAS 7 sports a sleek and understated exterior with its sleek headlights and full-width taillight at the rear thanks to its “Universal Design” philosophy. The sculpted front bumper with the vertical trim adds a touch of character to the sleek design.
Standard exterior equipment of the Proton eMAS 7 Prime includes:
- LED headlights and taillights
- Follow-me home light
- Automatic headlights
- Flush door handles

Stepping inside, the Proton eMAS 7’s interior design mirrors the minimalist exterior, featuring a large central 15.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system running on Flyme Auto that includes a built-in live map of charging points across the nation. The driver gets a letter box-styled 10.2-inch digital gauge cluster.

Powering the Proton eMAS 7 is a front-mounted 12-in-one electric motor, which Proton says is the most efficient drive unit in the industry. This powertrain delivers 218 hp (160 kW) and 320 Nm, translating to a 0-100 km/h time in 6.9 seconds on the Prime variant and 7.1 seconds on the Premium variants. Both variants have a rated top speed of 175 km/h.
Both variants are equipped with Geely’s proprietary Aegis short blade battery. The Prime variant is equipped with a 49.52 kWh battery pack, good for a WLTP-rated range of 345 km. Charging is supported with 11 kW AC charging and 80 kW DC charging.
The Premium variant gets a bigger 60.22 kWh battery pack, bumping the range up to 410 km (WLTP). It supports the same 11 kW AC charging but DC charging support is increased to 100 kW. Surprisingly, both variants take 20 minutes to charge from 30-80% using DC charging.
