BYD has recorded itself in history by becoming the first automaker globally to produce 10 million new energy vehicles (NEVs) at its Xiaomo Production Base in China.
The 10 millionth vehicle, a Denza Z9, is destined for the founder and CEO of Game Science, Mr. Feng Ji, the company responsible for the popular game, Black Myth: Wukong.

This milestone comes just a year after BYD announced the production of its sixth millionth NEV, highlighting the company’s accelerated growth and dominance in the electric vehicle market.
Moving forwards, BYD plans to invest CNY100 billion in developing intelligent technologies. This investment will focus on integrating artificial intelligence with automotive systems, and comprehensive driving upgrades across BYD’s entire vehicle lineup.
The Chinese carmaker is also making significant strides in Malaysia. In September, BYD Malaysia announced that Denza will be making its debut in Malaysia in Q1 2025. The D9 EV MPV will be the first model to hit the Malaysian market.
Adding to its Malaysian lineup, BYD recently launched the Sealion 7, priced at RM183,800 for the Premium variant and RM199,800 for the Performance variant. Prices are on-the road without insurance.
The Performance variant boasts a dual-motor setup producing 530 hp and 690 Nm, and an NEDC-rated range of 542 km, with an 82.5 kWh battery pack.
