SAIC Motor Malaysia celebrates 20 new MG5 owners with special delivery event

SAIC Motor Malaysia recently hosted a special delivery event to celebrate the growing community of MG5 owners in the country. The event, held at MG Motor Glenmarie (Mega Galeri Sdn Bhd), brought together 20 new MG5 owners with members of the SAIC Motor Malaysia team.

According to SAIC Motor Malaysia, the success of the MG5 is evident in the strong demand and prompt deliveries facilitated by the network of 18 MG Motor Authorized Dealerships across Malaysia, which the company plans to expand to 35 outlets by 2025.

“Through events like these, we’re able to engage directly with our customers, listen to their feedback, and gather meaningful insights into their satisfaction levels,” said Chief Operating Officer of SAIC Motor Malaysia, Lee Wen Hsiang.

“This ongoing connection with our customers not only helps us improve our service but also strengthens the community united by the spirit of MG,” Lee added.

The MG5 is available as a single variant, priced from RM93,900. as part of an “introductory offer”, MG Motor Malaysia is offering a rebate of RM7,000 for a limited time only, bringing the price down to RM86,900.

Measuring 4,675 mm in length, 1,842 mm in width and 1,480 mm in height, the MG5 is technically a C-segment sedan, and is very similar in size to the Honda Civic – although SAIC Motor Malaysia markets it as the “longest and widest B-segment sedan” instead. That said, it does have a slightly shorter wheelbase than the Civic at 2,680 mm.

Prices are inclusive of a five-year unlimited mileage general warranty and a seven-year unlimited mileage warranty on the powertrain.
