After a long wait, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has finally launched the all-new 2024 E-Class (W214-generation) in September this year. It’s available in two guises, the E200 and E350e, both variants embracing electrification this generation – the E200 featuring a mild-hybrid setup, and the E350e being a plug-in hybrid.
Pricing for the all-new 2024 Mercedes-Benz E-Class in Malaysia starts at RM355,888 for the E200, and RM418,888 for the E350e on the road without insurance.

On the outside, the W214-generation Mercedes-Benz E-Class reintroduces itself with a brand-new design language, in line with the brand’s other latest models such as the S-Class and the C-Class. The E200 is equipped with an Avantgarde exterior package, while the E350e – the car that we have here – features a sportier AMG Line trim.
While it may appear similar to its predecessor, the all-new model has introduced a series of subtle changes to bring the E-Class up to modern standards. These include a redesigned front end with slimmer headlights and a more prominent grille, as well as sleeker taillights that give the car a more modern and sporty appearance.
As mentioned above, The 2024 Mercedes-Benz E350e here in Malaysia is equipped with the AMG Line package which includes 20-inch AMG Multi-spoke alloy wheels, Digital Light and a Panoramic sliding sunroof. Also available on the all-new W214 E-Class is the digital key available on iPhone and Apple Watch. This can be shared with 16 people and even allows the unlocking of the car with Face ID.

Powertrain-wise, the Mercedes-Benz E350e is powered by a two-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine making 204 hp and 320 Nm. This is paired with an integrated start generator (ISG) making 95 hp and 440 Nm. Combined, the total output of the powertrain is 313 hp and 550 Nm.
Paired with a 9G-Tronic automatic gearbox, the E350e reaches 0-100 km/h in 6.4 seconds onto a top speed of 236 km/h. The onboard 25.4 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, allows the E350e to travel up to 120 km on just electric power. Uniquely for a plug-in hybrid, the Mercedes-Benz E350e in Malaysia supports DC fast charging of up to 55 kW, which means a 10-80% charge can be completed in just 20 minutes. An on-board 11 kW AC charger translates to a charging time of around two hours for a full charge.

The main highlight of the Mercedes-Benz E350e’s interior is the Superscreen infotainment system, which is an evolution of the Hyperscreen first seen in the EQS. This includes a 12.30-inch 3D driver display, a 14.4-inch Central display and a 12.3-inch front passenger display.
The Superscreen utilises Mercedes’s latest MBUX operating system, featuring a new layout and icon graphics which Mercedes claims is more intuitive. The system also supports apps like TikTok and even has a webcam that can be used for video calls.
Alongside the Superscreen, the interior of the E350e also features an active ambient lighting system with Sound Visualisation. This synchronises the ambient light animation and effects with the beat of the music piped through the 21-speaker Burmester 4D surround sound system. Also included are ventilated front seats and all-round acoustic glass.

Safety-wise, the all-new 2024 Mercedes-Benz E-Class is equipped with Mercedes’s full Driving Assistance package plus:
