2024 W214 Mercedes-Benz E200 & E350e launched in Malaysia from RM356k


Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has finally unveiled the all-new W214 Mercedes-Benz E-Class in Malaysia. It will come in CKD form in two variants: the E200 and the E350e AMG Line. Prices of the car start from RM355,888 and go up to RM418,888, on the road and without insurance.

In terms of dimensions, the all-new W214 Mercedes-Benz E-Class measures 4,949 mm long, 1,880 mm wide, and 1,468 mm tall. Its wheelbase is now 22mm longer than it used to be, now measuring 2,961 mm. As for luggage capacity, the new W214 Mercedes-Benz E-Class’s boot is rated at 540 litres.

On the outside, the all-new W214 Mercedes-Benz E-Class features a completely new design language, in line with the marque’s other latest models, including the S-Class and the C-Class. The two models are differentiated by their exterior trims – the entry-level E200 comes with the Avantgarde exterior package. In contrast, the range-topping E350e AMG Line is equipped with the sportier AMG Line trim.

Another new feature of the W214 Mercedes-Benz E-Class is the Digital Vehicle Key which is now available for iPhone and Apple Watch. The digital key can be shared with 16 people at one time.

Inside, the main highlight of the W214 Mercedes-Benz E-Class would be the new Superscreen – an evolution from the Hyperscreen found in the EQS. For the first time in a Mercedes-Benz E-Class, the front passenger comes with an optional screen. Interestingly, the front passenger’s screen comes with Intelligent blocking which means it can’t be viewed from the driver’s seat to reduce driving distractions.

The new E-class features the latest MBUX system and supports apps like TikTok, Angry Birds, Webex, Zoom, and Vivaldi. At the centre of the ‘webcam’ that can be used for video calls. Another new thing for the MBUX system is newly designed icons that Mercedes-Benz claims to be more intuitive.

The new E-Class also comes with a new Active Ambient lighting system accompanied by Sound Visualisation. This essentially synchronises the ambient light animation/effects with the beat of the music from the 21-speaker Burmester 4D surround sound system.

In the safety department, the W214 Mercedes-Benz E-Class is equipped with the full Driving Assistance package plus. It includes Active Steering Assist, Automatic start-off after coming to a standstill, Active Distance DISTRONIC, junction start-off, Active Lane Change Assist, Active Emergency Stop Assist, Active Brake Assist, Evasive Steering Assist, Active Lane Keeping Assist, and Active Blind Spot Assist. The W214 Mercedes-Benz E-Class is also equipped with the brand’s PRE-SAFE PLUS.
