WTC Automotif (M) Sdn Bhd (WTCA), a subsidiary of Warisan TC Holdings Bhd, has officially introduced two new locally-assembled (CKD) variants of the GAC GS3 Emzoom with the Standard and Exclusive.
Both variants are assembled at WTCA’s Segambut plant, alongside the Premium R variant. The Standard variant is priced at RM103,800. The reintroduced Exclusive variant is now priced at RM116,800, which is RM2,000 less than the CBU version.
All three GS3 Emzoom variants use a 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 177 hp and 270 Nm, driving the front wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. This allows the GS3 Emzoom to accelerate from 0–100 km/h in 8 seconds.
In terms of equipment, the new Exclusive variant remains largely identical to the existing CBU unit, but the Standard variant – as the name suggests – does without some of the more “premium” items, including fabric seats instead of leather; two speakers manual air conditioning (without rear blowers), and an analogue instrument cluster. It also lacks any ADAS functionalities, and only has two airbags. Even its colour options are more limited, too, with the Standard variant of the GAC GS3 Emzoom only available in Frost White and Asphalt Black.
Otherwise, standard features across all variants include LED headlights, electric door handles, LED tail lights, a sporty rear spoiler, and 18-inch alloy wheels. Inside, the GS3 Emzoom features a dual-tone blue-and-black interior, GAC’s signature crystal electronic gear shift, a multifunction steering wheel, a 10.25-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay, an electronic parking brake with auto hold, and Blind Spot Vision (BSV). While Android Auto is not available, Android users can utilize the Android mirror function.
To commemorate the success of its first GAC CKD project, WTCA has launched the Rev Up with EMZOOM campaign that lasts until 31 December 2024. The campaign offers cash rebates of RM5,000 and RM7,000 for the Exclusive and Premium R variants. Customers can enjoy promotional prices starting from only RM111,800 for the GS3 EMZOOM Exclusive and RM119,800 for the GS3 EMZOOM Premium R.
All variants of the GAC GS3 EMZOOM come with a five-year, 150,000-km warranty. Additionally, the first 2,000 customers can enjoy the extra protection of a seven-year, 180,000-km engine and transmission warranty, subject to official terms and conditions.
WTCA also offers the option of value for money bundling of Complimentary Maintenance Service and Smart Watch Key worth RM1,388 in lieu of lower cash rebates.
