This is the Subaru BRZ and it is available in Malaysia in two variants. The 6-speed automatic goes for RM285,000 on the road without insurance while the 6-speed manual variant costs a little less, at RM239,245 on the road, without insurance.
The Subaru BRZ is powered by a 2.4-litre naturally-aspirated boxer engine, with a maximum power output of 237 hp and a maximum torque of 250 Nm. You can choose between a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox, but power is sent exclusively to the rear wheels via a Torsen limited-slip differential no matter which transmission you favor.

In terms of performance figures, the automatic takes 6.8 seconds to get to 100 km/h from a standstill, onward to a top speed of 216 km/h, while the manual is slightly quicker at 6.3 seconds, and maxes out at 226 km/h, due to its final drive.
Exterior-wise, both variants come standard with 18-inch aluminum wheels in matte dark grey, automatic LED headlights, LED daytime-running light (DRL), and twin-exhaust tailpipes.

As for interior equipment, both variants are fairly similarly equipped. Standard items include an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, a customizable seven-inch digital instrument cluster, a drive modes selector with a Track Mode option, leather and Ultrasuede upholstery, and aluminum sports pedals.
Safety-wise, both variants come with seven airbags, hill start assist, blind spot monitor, and rear cross-traffic alert. The Malaysian spec automatic adds the additional Subaru EyeSight safety suite, which adds active cruise control, front vehicle departure alert, autonomous emergency braking, and false start suppression control. Globally, even the manual variant gains the Subaru EyeSight safety suite.

The Subaru BRZ is available in Malaysia with two transmission options: a 6-speed automatic priced at RM285,000 and a 6-speed manual at RM239,245. Its Toyota counterpart, the GR86, commands a slightly higher price, starting at RM295,000 for the manual and RM305,000 for the automatic variant.
