Honda Civic facelift launched in Thailand with Google Built-in, Bose sound system

Honda has launched the facelifted Civic model in Thailand, offering two powertrain options across three variants which are EL+, e:HEV EL+, and e:HEV RS with the e:HEV exclusively in hybrid powertrain. The Civic facelift comes with an estimated price tag of 1,030,000 bhat (approx. RM132,095) and topped at 1,230,000 bhat (approx. RM157,780). Thailand is the first Southeast Asia country to ever get the Honda Civic facelift.

The facelifted Civic adopts a revised exterior design. Featuring styling cues from the US-market model, the updated Civic showcases redesigned front and rear bumpers. Both the EL+ and RS variants incorporate a honeycomb mesh grille design.

The 1.5L Turbo EL+ trim features projector headlamps, while LED headlamps are standard on the RS variants. All trims include automatic headlamps, LED daytime running lights, and LED taillights with an auto-off function. The door handles on the 1.5L Turbo EL+ are in body color, while the e:HEV EL+ are in chrome and black with chrome on the RS variant. All three variants get side mirrors with indicators, with electric adjustment and powerfolding. Limited to the hybrid variants are rain-sensing wipers.

The base EL+ trim for both petrol and hybrid powertrain options features 17-inch 2-tone alloy wheels. The higher-end e:HEV trim level adopts a 7-spoke 18-inch alloy wheel design finished in a single-tone grey. This configuration differs from the two-tone wheels available in the US market.

The standard 1.5L Turbo EL+ variant retains its turbocharged 1,498 cc inline-four engine, producing 178 hp and 240 Nm. Power is transmitted to the front wheels via a continuously variable transmission (CVT). For the 2.0L e:HEV models, a 1,993 cc naturally aspirated inline-4 engine serves as a generator for the electric motor. The engine produces 141 hp, while the electric motor delivers 181 hp and 315 Nm.

The Honda Civic facelift features a Google-based infotainment system with a nine-inch touchscreen, supporting wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Standard features include voice control, Bluetooth, and four USB-C ports. A premium 12-speaker Bose audio system is available on the e:HEV RS variant only, while all models benefit from Active Noise Control technology.

Safety-wise, the Honda Civic facelift comes with Honda Sensing as standard. This suite includes collision mitigation braking (AEB), lane keeping assist, road departure mitigation with lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control with low-speed follow, and lead car departure notification. Exclusive to the top two variants are Honda LaneWatch and front and rear parking sensors.
