2024 Neta X debuts in Malaysia, est. from RM120k – BYD Atto 3 rival with up to 480km range

The Neta X has made its debut in Malaysia, with a “soft launch” at the Malaysia Autoshow 2024. Offered in three variants, namely 400 Comfort, 400 Luxury, and 500 Luxury, the all-electric SUV has an estimated price range of between RM119,900 and RM139,900 and will see itself rivalling the likes of the BYD Atto 3 and Chery Omoda E5.

Dimension-wise, the Neta X measures 4,619 mm long, 1,860 mm wide, and 1,628 mm tall, and is underpinned by a 2,770 mm long wheelbase. This makes it larger than both the Atto 3 and Omoda E5.

On the outside, the Neta X in Malaysia is equipped as standard with automatic LED headlights, LED daytime running lights (DRLs), LED taillights, along with 18-inch alloys. It is available in five colour options, including Jet Black, Glacier Blue, Sky Grey, Amber Brown, and Pearl White.

Powering all variants of the Neta X in Malaysia is the same single-motor front-wheel drive (FWD) setup that makes 163 hp (metric) and 210 Nm. The 400 Comfort and 400 Luxury variants comes with a 52.49 kWh battery pack, translating to an NEDC-rated driving range of 401 km. The 500 Luxury variant on the other hand sports a larger 64.14 kWh battery pack, giving it an NEDC-rated driving range of 480 km.

Charging the Neta X using the onboard 6.6 kW AC charger will take 9 hours to juice the car up from flat to full. Charging it using a DC fast charger will take 30 minutes to juice the car up from 30 to 80%.

The 500 Luxury variant gets exclusive kits such as a driver’s seat with memory and welcome functions, as well as wireless charging.

Safety-wise, only the 500 Luxury variant gets Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Sytems (ADAS) features. This consists of additional features like Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Traffic Jam Assist (TJA), and Intelligent Cruise Assistance (ICA).
