2024 Peugeot 408 launched in Malaysia, from RM146k – CKD, 3 variants, fastback crossover

Stellantis Malaysia has just launched the 2024 Peugeot 408 in Malaysia. Offered in three variants, the French fastback crossover is priced from RM146,055 (OTR, without insurance), and is locally assembled (CKD) in Malaysia at the brand’s plant at Gurun, Kedah.

  • 2024 Peugeot 408 Allure – RM146,055
  • 2024 Peugeot 408 Premium – RM166,055
  • 2024 Peugeot 408 GT – RM196,055

In the past, the Peugeot 408 has been a C-segment that has existed across three generations. Now it has gotten itself a new identity and has evolved into a fastback crossover, just like many cars out there today. Still, the Peugeot 408 will see itself competing against the likes of the Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla Altis, and Mazda 3 in Malaysia.

Size-wise, the all-new Peugeot 408 measures 4,687 mm long, 1,859 wide, and 1,478 mm tall. The top-of-the-range GT variant is slightly taller at 1,487 mm, due to its slightly larger wheels. This makes it slightly larger than three of its Japanese rivals mentioned above.
