“New Look” 2026 Peugeot 3008 launched in Malaysia from RM138k – RM32k cheaper, new badging and 18-inch wheels

Stellantis Malaysia has announced through its social media pages the availability of an updated “new look” 2026 Peugeot 3008, which has also received a revised sticker price of RM138,000. This represents a significant price reduction compared to the RM170,343 retail price of the outgoing model.

It should be noted that this is still the same-generation model as the existing Peugeot 3008 in Malaysia, instead of the all-new third-generation model that was revealed globally in September 2023, and also spotted testing on our shores as early as 2004.

The 2026 Peugeot 3008 remains available as a locally assembled (CKD) model, offered in a single Allure variant, though Peugeot Malaysia has noted that only limited stocks are available at this price point. Could this be the final update before the next-generation model rolls around?

The updates to the “new look” model seems to be very minimal – and only confined to the exterior design. At a glance, the updated Peugeot 3008 remains visually consistent with the outgoing model. The revisions include updated badging on the front and rear, which now features the brand’s new shield-style crest in place of the previous standing lion logo.

Additionally, the SUV gains a set of 18-inch Granite Black alloy wheels sourced from the Peugeot 408 Premium variant. The remainder of the exterior is unchanged, featuring the distinctive frameless front grille and the signature 3D Lion Claw light profile.

The rest of the 3008’s exterior equipment should remain unchanged as before, which include:

  • Automatic LED headlights with auto levelling
  • LED daytime running lights (DRLs)
  • LED taillights
  • Bulb-type rear fog lights
  • Hands-free powered tailgate
  • Power folding side mirrors with integrated turn indicators
  • Automatic windshield wipers
  • Panoramic sunroof
  • 18-inch alloy wheels in Granite Black

The interior of the Peugeot 3008 features the marque’s signature i-Cockpit two-tiered design. This layout requires the driver to look over the compact steering wheel to view the digital instrument cluster rather than through the spokes.

Standard interior equipment of the Peugeot 3008 includes:

  • 12.3-inch digital heads-up cluster display
  • 10-inch full colour touchscreen infotainment display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
  • Six-speaker sound system
  • Multi-function leather upholstered steering wheel with gear shift paddles
  • Dual-zone automatic climate control with rear aircon vents
  • Auto-dimming rearview mirror
  • Sport mode drive selection switch
  • Six-way power adjustable driver seat with four-way lumbar support
  • Six-way power adjustable front passenger seat
  • Leather upholstery
  • Wireless charging pad

Its powertrain should also remain unchanged. The Peugeot 3008 is powered by a 1.6-litre, four-cylinder turbocharged engine producing 165 hp and 240 Nm of torque. This is paired to a six-speed automatic gearbox that drives the front wheels. While official 0-100 km/h times were not released, the top speed is rated at 205 km/h, and fuel consumption is 7L/100 km (NEDC).

For safety features, the Peugeot 3008 is equipped with six airbags and a basic suite of ADAS features, which includes:

  • Blind spot monitors (BSM)
  • Active lane keep assist (LKA)
  • Speed limit recognition (SLA)
  • Driver attention warning (DAW)
  • Tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS)
  • Front and rear parking sensors

The updated Peugeot 3008 is available in four exterior colours. These are Pearl White, Amazonite Grey, Nera Black, and Cuprite Brown. Priced from RM138,000, the Peugeot 3008 comes with a standard warranty of five years or 150,000 km. This coverage can be extended to a total of seven years or 200,000 km, whichever comes first.
