Toyota Rush facelift launched in Indonesia, from approx. RM85k – new 9-inch touchscreen

The Toyota Rush has just gotten a facelift in Indonesia. Priced at 299,750,000 Rupiah (approx. RM89,613) and 310,450,000 Rupiah (approx. RM92,764) for the manual and automatic versions of the GR Sport manual variant respectively, the facelifted 7-seater SUV now packs updated exterior and interior designs, along with upgraded equipment. Aside from the GR Sport, there’s also the more pedestrian-looking G variant whose prices start from 284,400,000 Rupiah (approx. RM85,024).

Just in case you forgot, the Toyota Rush in Malaysia has just been discontinued earlier this year. Its twin, the Perodua Aruz is still on sale, however.

On the outside, the facelifted Toyota Rush GR Sport in Indonesia sports a list of blacked-out exterior design bits. This includes the front grille, side view mirror, door handles, side body mouldings, and so on. Being a GR Sport model, it also has GR Sport logos on the front and back.

Speaking of GR logos, you get even more of them upon opening the facelifted Indonesian-market Toyota Rush. The GR logos can be found in places such as the steering wheel, front headrests, floor mats, and even the new 9-inch touchscreen infotainment display in the form of a startup screen graphic.

Toyota Indonesia has also given its facelifted Rush GR Sport an overall blacked-out interior to give a sportier ambience. This replaces the black and beige dual-tone colour combination found in the previous iteration of the Rush.

Powering the Toyota Rush continues to be the 1.5-litre inline-4 naturally-aspirated engine that outputs 105 hp (metric) and 136 Nm. Power is sent to the rear wheels only.

On the safety side of things, the Toyota Rush facelift in Indonesia is packed with basic safety features such as six airbags and electronic stability control (ESC). However, it still lacks advanced safety systems such as autonomous emergency braking (AEB), just like the Toyota Rush and Perodua Aruz in Malaysia.
