UMW Toyota Motor today announced that the Toyota Hiace Super Long Wheelbase (SLWB) window van is now open for bookings in Malaysia. The SLWB Hiace in Malaysia introduces the all-new generation of the van and it fetches a price of RM169,000.
The SLWB moniker means that this is an extra-large version of the all-new Hiace. It measures 5,915 mm long, 1,950 mm wide, 2,280 mm tall, and it has a wheelbase that measures 3,860 mm long. According to Toyota, it is even larger than its predecessor. The van seats 10 adults comfortably and provides space for overhead storage.
Powering the Toyota Hiace Super Long Wheelbase is a 2.8-litre 1GD-FTV turbodiesel engine that makes 177 hp (metric) at 3,400 rpm and 450 Nm between 1,600 rpm to 2,400 rpm. The turbodiesel engine is paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission with sequential shift.

Other noteworthy features on the Toyota Hiace SLWB include the Sliding Doorstep Lamp and a built-in Front Digital Video Recorder (DVR). It also comes equipped with 3-point seatbelts across all seats, prioritising the safety of every occupant during transit.
