Out of the 15,012 vehicles it sold last year, BMW Group Malaysia has delivered “over 3,600” electrified vehicles from its BMW, Mini, and BMW Motorrad brands, representing an impressive 31.4% of all deliveries for the year.
The figures also translate to an exponential 136% growth compared to the year before, and effectively brings the total number of electrified BMW vehicles on Malaysian roads to nearly 30,000 – which, the company says puts it at the number one spot for “premium electric vehicles”.
BMW Group Malaysia’s strong performance of its electrified models is also reflected globally, with those models now attributing for 15% of all BMW Group deliveries worldwide in 2023.
The company did not provide a breakdown of its models sold, although it did note that more than 1,100 units of the BMW iX were sold this year, primarily led by the iX xDrive40 variant, as well as over 600 units of the BMW i7.
