Proton exceeds 2022 sales with 1 month to spare – 141,900 cars sold so far in 2023



Proton sold a total of 12,296 cars in November 2023. Its total year-to-date (YTD) sales have reached a total of 141,900 units, with 13,876 units from the domestic market, and 3,024 units from the export market. With one more month to spare before wrapping up 2023, the company has already surpassed its sales volume from the whole of last year, which was 141,432 units.

In November, Proton sold a total of 2,115 units of the X50, contributing to its YTD sales figure of 29,096 units. The Proton X70, on the other hand, recorded 739 units sold in November. YTD sales figure for the X70 is 10,444 units.

As for the local carmaker’s D-segment SUV – the Proton X90, Proton sold a total of 371 units in November, which contributes to the model’s 4,285 unit YTD sales figure.

Proton managed to sell a total of 6,349 units of its best-selling model – the Saga in November, leading to its 64,155 unit YTD sales figure. The Persona on the other hand has recorded a total of 1,902 units sold in November, contributing to its YTD sales figure of 22,557 units.

A total of 518 units of the Proton Iriz left the brand’s showroom floor in November, resulting in its YTD sales figure of 7,151 units. The Proton Exora, which is going to retire by the end of 2023, recorded 302 units of sales in November. Its YTD sales figure on the other hand is at 4,212 units.

The local carmaker just launched its brand new C-segment sedan – the Proton S70 last week. Since November 1, the company has garnered over 3,000 units of bookings for the new car thus far, with weekly bookings surging to over 900 units.
