Video: 2023 BMW i7 xDrive60 M Sport, RM730k luxury EV – 5 Things

The BMW i7 has just made its launch earlier in June in the Malaysian market. Offered in the xDrive60 M Sport variant only, the asking price for the all-electric luxury sedan is RM729,800.

On the outside, the BMW i7 looks pretty much similar to the all-new BMW 7 Series, sharing a similar design with the BMW 750e xDrive M Sport. The only differences differentiating the i7 from the regular 7 Series are the location of the charging port and the lack of a fuel filler cap.

Powering the BMW i7 xDrive60 M Sport is a dual-motor setup that churns out 544 hp and 745 Nm. With power sent to all four wheels via the xDrive all-wheel drive system, it enables the sedan to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.7 seconds and achieve a top speed of 240 km/h.

Thanks to a 101.7-kWh battery pack, the BMW i7 xDrive60 can travel as far as 625 km (WLTP) on a single charge. And speaking of charging, it can be done at a maximum rate of 11 kW AC and 195 kW DC. The latter can juice up the car from 10% to 80% in around 34 minutes.

Inside, the BMW i7 xDrive60 sports the new floating iDrive 8 curved display panels. It also comes with an Interaction Bar, which is a touch-sensitive transparent surface that allows occupants to control the car’s climate control system and lights, alongside opening the powered door on the passenger side.
