The BMW iX M60 just made its launch in Malaysia at the Sepang International Circuit last week. The performance EV SUV is currently carrying a price tag of RM630,800, on-the-road, without insurance, which is inclusive of the BMW Service and Repair package.

On the outside, the BMW iX M60 in Malaysia is fitted as standard with the BMW Laser Light headlights, alongside Titanium Bronze 22-inch BMW Individual M aerodynamic wheels. Its model badges are also uniquely finished in High Gloss Black and Titanium Bronze.

Powering the BMW iX M60 are two motors that produce a system output of 619 hp and 1,015 Nm. Paired with a single-speed automatic transmission, power is sent to all four wheels via the marque’s fifth-generation eDrive all-wheel drive (AWD) technology. Also, its torque performance can also be further boosted up to 1,100 Nm via Launch Control. Performing the century sprint with the BMW iX M60 takes only 3.8 seconds, while its top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h.

The BMW iX M60’s electric range is rated at 561 km (WLTP), thanks to a 105.2 kWh battery. When it runs out of juice, the iX M60 can be charged up at a maximum rate of 195 kW DC, which can charge the performance SUV from 0 to 80% of charge in just 35 minutes.

Alternatively, the iX M60 can also be charged up at a rate of 11 kW AC, which will take it from flat to full in 11 hours. The BMW iX M60 is the first BMW model in Malaysia to receive AC charging at a rate of 22 kW, which will take it from 0 to 100% in under 5.5 hours.

Underpinning the BMW iX M60 is BMW’s own adaptive dual-axle air suspension with M-specific tuning, alongside the Integral Active Steering. Supporting the performance SUV up front is a double wishbone setup, while its rear gets a five-link axle.

Inside, the BMW iX M60 can be fitted with either Altelier Mocha or Black, or the Suite Amido (blue) and Suite Castanea (red) interior design options. Its central console and central armrest are also wrapped in Sensatec faux leather as standard.

When it comes to its tech-related equipment, the BMW iX M60 is fitted with a phone wireless charger and 4-zone automatic air-conditioning. It is also equipped with the BMW Live Cockpit Professional as standard which consists of a curved 12.3-inch instrument display, a 14.9-inch central touchscreen display that runs the BMW Operating System 8, alongside a 30-speaker Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Surround Sound System as standard.

In the safety department, the BMW iX M60 in Malaysia is equipped with safety features such as the marque’s Driving Assistant Professional, Parking Assistant Professional, and Adaptive cruise control (ACC) with braking function.
