Mitsubishi has unveiled the exterior design of its upcoming new compact SUV ahead of its debut which is planned for August 10, 2023. Set to make its world premiere at the upcoming GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2023, Mitsubishi’s new compact SUV has yet to be named.
Mitsubishi has been teasing its upcoming new compact SUV ever since the unveiling of the Mitsubishi XFC Concept in 2022. The company has then slowly revealed more and more details of its small SUV including details of its interior design and its sound system. Glimpses of its exterior design have also been teased previously. Now, we finally get a good look at the overall exterior design of the new compact SUV.

Its overall dimensions have been officially shared and the Mitsubishi new compact SUV is about the size of a Honda HR-V. It measures 4,390 mm long, 1,810 mm wide, and 1,660 mm tall. Its ground clearance measures 222 mm and the car sits on a set of 18-inch wheels.
Design-wise, the Mitsubishi new compact SUV retains the brand’s signature Dynamic Shield design. On the new compact SUV, the design consists of left and right bumpers that protect the front grille. The LED DRLs combine an ‘L’ shape with slitted accents to emit light in a ‘T’ shape – Something that the company says makes it instantly recognizable as a Mitsubishi.

In addition to the robustness and powerfulness characteristic of Mitsubishi Motors, we have pursued a design that is more stylish, energetic, and distinctive than ever. At the upcoming GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show, we hope that even more customers will discover what Mitsubishi Motors has to offer and empathize with our design through this all-new compact SUV.”
