Setel, the mobile payment platform for Petronas, has introduced a suite of new auto assistance features into the mobile app, connecting its users directly to a wide range of different auto service providers in the event of a vehicle emergency.
These features include battery replacements, vehicle jump-start, tyre replacement, emergency refuelling assistance (in case you run out of fuel on the road), vehicle unlock (in case you lock yourself out of your own car), and vehicle towing.
The new auto assistance features are supported by Bateriku.com, Setel’s first partner for the initiative. Just as if you are buying fuel, Setel users using the new auto assistance features will also be able to automatically earn Mesra points, which can then be later used to redeem fuel and other rewards.
Setel Chief Executive Officer, Mazlin Erawati Ab Manan said, “Setel aims to be the constant companion to motorists by offering an ecosystem of mobility services to settle their needs. The auto assistance feature complements the motorists’ journey with access to safety essentials
right at their fingertips.
“The partnership with Bateriku.com expedites the help needed when a Setel user is stranded, minimising the impact of what could be a stressful event.”
Bateriku.com Chief Executive Officer, Azarol Faizi Bin Zakaria Ansari added, “With the increasing numbers of vehicles on the road, it is crucial for Bateriku.com to make roadside assistance services easily accessible to motorists nationwide via API integration with customer
facing platforms such as the Setel app.
To take advantage of the latest feature, download the latest version of the Setel app via the Apple Store, Google Play Store, or Huawei App Gallery.
